Cool. I have not even noticed this yet.

Surprisingly, I have also heard of this problem more than once.
The main thing is that it works again.

"Pin 26" is only referenced on the PCIe port and on J10117, which I think is the FlexVer port? I'm not sure how exacting that error message might be.

I was not aware of this. This means that this error is always displayed?

Finally. Now we have CentOS Stream, AlmaLinux, Circle Linux and Rocky Linux :)

In September I had a similar error message.
It happened after a thunderstorm and lightning struck (far away). There was a surge as a result.
During the same time, our heating control system also needed to be replaced, because of this.

Long story short: I had to reflash the BMC and OpenPOWER firmware.

Now I always turn off the power strip when a storm is coming. BTW, Awilfox had the same issue, longe time ago.

As MauryG5 said, usually Fedora installs three Kernel max (installonly_limit=3). You could look in the dnf.conf, IIRC if this is changed for what ever reason.
Then I would try to "sudo update-grub" if anything changes. Usually this is done automatically.

Yeah, this is not the first time, sadly.

You could ask markos on the Talos IRC. He did some optimisations on FFmpeg awhile ago.
https://github.com/markos/FFmpeg

The last commit was in 2015. Pre-POWER9 area.
This is his website: https://www.vectorcamp.gr

For benchmarking, you could also use Phoronix Test Suite. Two POWER9 are on that list.
https://openbenchmarking.org/test/pts/ffmpeg

FFmpeg isn't optimised. There is no Multi-Million Dollar company doing this and IBM doesn't need FFmpeg.

At least there is a bounty open:
https://app.bountysource.com/teams/ibm/bounties

Maybe one day someone will take it. But yeah, I would ask markos.

I haven't used Fedora for ages.

But both packages (jsoncpp, libwebp) are available for Fedora:

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1913713

You could also take a look at

No idea, if it's up-to-date.

This proceeding isn't needed since Kernel 5.16.12. But Kernel 5.16 / 5.17 has another issue.
