From the wiki:

AMD Radeon RX 6600 (XT) (Navi 23) - "amdgpu" driver works with 6.1.0, 6.2.0, 6.3.0, 6.4.0, 6.5.0, 6.8.0, 6.9.0, 6.10 and 6.11 in both 4k and 64k pagesize in LE; anything older does not work. Not tested with petitboot. Issues noted on a Sapphire Pulse RX 6600 with X server stability and twitchy application behavior; XFX Speedster SWFT 210 RX 6600 has run without incident or issue.

AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT - Works fine with Gentoo (Linux 6.3.3) with 4KiB page size, LE. Not tested with BE or 64KiB. Not tested in Skiroot.

A lot of people are running Debian sid (big-endian) on G4/ G5/ POWER9.
Fienix, BTW is based on Debian sid.

On a PCIe G5 you could run even a TeraScale GPU on Linux.

You could also check the PSU.
Surprisingly, the PSU was often the cause of such problems.

Worth to mention:

KVM for IBM POWER

KVM for IBM POWER has also been unsupported since RHEL 9.0. We enable it in the AlmaLinux OS Kitten 10 virtualization stack, so it’s possible to continue using KVM just like it is in AlmaLinux 8.

Two RDNA3 cards are now also mentioned on the wiki as working. On kernel 6.7 and 6.11. I guess the baseline for RDNA3 is also kernel 6.1.
