I actually was able to solve this by running
and rebuilding the initial ramdisk, so maybe I had some kind of filesystem corruption, which is a bit concerning since the system has ECC memory and a UPS.![Undecided :-\](https://forums.raptorcs.com/Smileys/default/undecided.gif)
Anyways thanks for the help everyone! I greatly appreciate it, and it is awesome to see people using these amazing machines.

I actually was able to solve this by running

sudo update-initramfs -u -k 5.4.0-167-generic
