Pretty happy with this distro so far.

The most recent update to kernel 6.4.0 is smooth. No bugs that I could pick up.

The only wish I have is more optimisation to mutter and GNOME shell. We have been there before, it is likely GNOME 45 might polish all rough edges before the release of Fedora 39

I have a silly recurring bug that's been in place since my original install of Fedora 37: periodically xscreensaver clears its power management settings and I'll need to re-enable them. There hasn't been much rhyme or reason - every two weeks to a month, it happens out of the blue.

Can I assume I’m in the clear because I use Xfce and literally hop into GNOME about once a month just to make sure it still works?

If you are using GDM, chances are you are likely impacted.

You can double check to see if Wayland is in use or not with command `echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE`
