Sega Dreamcast emulations
« on: December 25, 2022, 04:11:51 pm »
Sorry guys, have any of you ever used LXDREAM ppc64LE version? I've read that it's one of the few that runs the Sega Dreamcast well in emulation...Do you have any news about it? Always thanks!

Yes. It's not very fast, though it does seem to at least start the BIOS. I haven't done a great deal of testing with it other than that.

so it also exists for us apparently... I've read however that currently the only one available is for Fedora because the Deb version hasn't been developed since 2009... They say yes, it must be adapted before being able to install it on Debian as well or ubuntu

I don't use the Fedora package; I built it from source. I don't recall having to make any (or at least any extensive) changes.

I get it, can you tell me how to build it for Debian too?  What procedure to use or is there a site where I can find the whole step-by-step procedure to do it myself... Thanks.

Looking at it again, it turns out it did need some relatively minor changes to build. I'm trying to remember exactly but I think I had to add -fcommon for later gcc versions and I also had to update config.sub and config.guess. I'll check it again and then I might just put my working compile on Github again when I'm back from visiting family.

Perfect Classic then I'm waiting for your publication on GitHub to try to compile and install it too.  Thank you
