Firmware / Re: Recovering BMC After Failed Firmware Update
« on: February 28, 2020, 07:49:49 am »
AFAIK, you could reprogramming through J7701 header with a serial adopter. No ISP programmer needed. I have an ASSMANN AK-610300-003-E.

You already read this guide?
Debricking the BMC

I haven't done this till now.

You know you can take screenshots too? You don't have to take pictures with your cell phone. The easiest thing would be C&P.

Blackbird / Re: Support for POWER9 22core?

Do not forget that datasheet is from 2018, referring to order numbers. And a 02CY644 should work at full speed in a Blackbird, according to this chart.

Also on Böackbird you have dual-channel memory, on TalosII quad-channel.

I could imagine the Condor planar is for an IBM Power10 ...

It's for a POWER9 LaGrange CPU.

A little Google search would have given you a negative.

First of all Clemens Ladisch already answered this question two weeks ago ...
Second, why does someone buy a card for several 100$, which does not work under Linux?

Besides Vikings?

The question is actually to whom does IBM sell individual CPUs. I can't think of anyone. Even if you buy POWER systems from Thomas-Krenn you will not get CPUs from them. But it costs nothing to ask them.

You could also check the OpenPOWER page to see which European companies are members and ask them.

But in the end, maybe only eBay will be left.

It's possible, but not at full speed. It's linked through the power consumption -> Mainboard VRMs

These are only for comparison.
I would like to benchmark FFTW, but sadly it fails because he is expecting SSE and I don't know how to change it.
