FYI, on the talos IRC is someone who is running a 18-core (190W) POWER9 on a Blackbird. And another one has overclocked a 8-core to 4.3GHz

[I second that. Please also get rid of all SATA ports. SATA is now a thing of the past or replace SATA with SAS (but I do not think it would be a good idea because of cost factor).
I also think the board should come with at least two M2 port. One is for NVMe SSD and the other for Wifi.
I wish that the future revision of Blackbird would swap position of X8 with X16 slot. Additionally the X8 slot should be open-ended so that X16 card could fit in perfectly without the needs of using adapter card.
That would be great to have AmigaOS running on Blackbird! At the moment, I think that's only possible under emulation ... with qemu since the support of the Sam460 config seems to be good enough. I would like to try ... when I will have a Blackbird (not ordered yet and I don't know when it will happen).
There are many less-popular specifications, from SAS to DisplayPort to IEEE-1394/FireWire/i.link that I find myself sympathetic to, where much of the opposition seems to be due to existing popularity/install-base. I only hope Power ISA’s future is more like DisplayPort than FireWire.
