Do a lsmod in a terminal and see if there are several amdgpu modules installed.
Then Look in /lib/firmware for your GPU and make sure all the firmware for the card is in there.

@pocock
I have been attempting to get openBSD 6.8 installed for about 6 weeks on and off now without any luck.
It boots as far as your above example then.....nothing.
I do have the Microsemi PM8068 SAS/SATA controller on-board. I have removed and replaced the graphics card and all other cards without being able to go any further.

Have you had any further luck?

My 2x8 T2 shows 02CY089 for both processors.

To have the screensaver autostart on Debian 10 I added it to the 'Startup Applications Preferences'.

Just the correct address. For example 192.168.1.13:

The exact syntax of the command I have to execute is this:

cp image-bmc root @ <BMC blackbird IP address I find on the card>: / run / initramfs / ?

It is secure copy = scp. Not cp.

I wish I knew more about the BB.  :(
Perhaps a BB owner could help more. It could be the server is not running :-\ . ???

For one thing the address should not have any spaces. root@number.

Try, ping 192.168.1.4, and see if the BB port is active.

Generally I log into my router and see which IP address is assigned to the mac number.

I also mark that mac number as 'denied' for the internet. That way there is less chance of being hacked. The switch will still allow you to talk to the BB from another computer, but you will not be able to go out on the internet with that RJ45 connection.

I don't have a Blackbird so your mileage may vary.

Yes, I believe so.
Connect one port of the switch to the device that connects to the router and your two computers to other ports on the switch. Works for me.

Just a shot in the dark here.

Your Mac has one ETHERNET port and one wifi port. Yes?
and Debian uses the wired ETHERNET port.(?)

How many inputs does your router have for you to use?

If you only have one input available then I suggest you get a ETHERNET switch.

You can then plug several devices into the switch and plug the switch into your router. The modem should see all the devices on the switch and assign each a different IP address. Once you have the address of the BB then your Mac/Debian can talk directly to the BB through the switch.

This is the switch I use. https://www.trendnet.com/products/unmanaged-switch/8-port-gigabit-greennet-switch-TEG-S80g-v4

Be sure to unplug that BB port when you finish or block that ports mac number in the router so it does not connect to the internet.

Blackbird / Re: How to connect HDD activity LED?
« on: February 13, 2020, 08:31:24 am »
That depends on the LED. If you are using a 3.3v LED then you should not need one.
Most of the older LEDs can only handle maybe 20mA and if connected to 3.3v power source will 'blowout' so fast it will not be noticeable.

So.....you must know the max voltage and amperage of the LED for proper operation.

For example, if the LED turns on at 0.7v and can only handle 20mA and you are suppling 3.3v then..3.3v - 0.7v = 2.6v. 2.6v/.020A=130ohms so a 150ohm reststor will allow the LED to last a long time.

If the on-board LED driver chip limits the Amps then the resistor should not be required. I would assume this is the case with the Blackbird.

You could use (I did) something like this with a 150 Ohm resistor inline on one of the legs and connect to pins 14 and 15.

and use some shrink tubing to insulate.
