fwupdmgr doesnt appear to list the onboard NICs. I see them mentioned during boot however..

the motherboard rev is 1.01

i tried the two dual ethernet ports, not the BMC port. they show as detected upon bootup. i dont know what the firmware is but it should be recent as this was a board from the latest shipment. I haven't attempted any BMC access as i do not have a crossover cable currently.

"modprobe.blacklist=ast video=offb:off amdgpu.aspm=0" when i add this in the bootloader for opensuse leap i get no video whatsoever and it just hangs at boot

to my surprise, when I installed openSUSE tumbleweed as leap was giving me some issues. There's absolutely no web browsers in the repos what so ever.

what can I do?

i think SMT is configured in petitboot but i'm not sure. haven't booted my system yet. I dont think it would do much for quake 2 rtx either though.

also, you play it online yet lol?

so which setting enables write protection? I assume it's 1, but I want to be sure. I haven't seen it documented specifically.

should I wait for the intel arc gpu drivers over AMD? i've wanted to play this since it came out and I'd rather wait for power9 support to play it. I might opt for an a770 gpu over an AMD card if it plays well. Maybe a bit off topic but should one even trust an intel gpu moreso over an amd/nvidia lol..?

well now I'd like to get a new gpu to play it, but i think i'll wait a bit for driver updates.. Still one of the best gaming benchmarks out there, and runs on POWER too..
