We'd like to retire powerpc64 and powerpc64le just before the FreeBSD stable/16 branch.

It would be a great disappointment if FreeBSD drop support for PPC64. I find FreeBSD extremely useful for hosting ZFS.

In that case, reply to the mailing list. If no one replies about using FreeBSD on POWER, the conclusion will be that it's unused code ready for removal.

Hi,

the latest available upstream version v2.1-20250826 has support for both ppc64
and ppc64el allowing luajit to be built successfully on both of these architectures.

That quote is really misleading, I thought for a moment that Mike Pall finally merged PPC64 support after like 10 years. But it's just openresty fork, it's had ppc64 and ppc64le support for quite some time already.

OpenBSD is big-endian on POWER. amdgpu doesn't support big-endian, you need to use radeon driver, which doesn't support your GPU. If you want to use OpenBSD, you need a different GPU.
