Guys finally fixed the Fedora Software application problem. In recent updates have sent the fix to the problem.

yes Tim is right, the use of Chromium Power must not be hidden from Google, we have to show that we are here too and that Power has real support is a community that loves and uses it ...

Yes good Flying, with your link you will arrive direct. But the questions are 2 for me. First, what exactly is the Patch to activate the acceleration of the dedicated graphics card? Question 2, how do you...

604
Sorry but are we obliged to register on the site just to download a patch? It seems excessive to me ... Now for example it denies me access ...

tried a little while ago but unfortunately nothing, the problem persists, I think we should report it to the Fedora team as there is a bug in the last update ... I don't know how to do it if someone can report it to him it would be a very good thing ... Thanks always for the help, thanks MPC always great and always very active in the Power community!

General Discussion / Printers and management drivers
« on: February 08, 2020, 04:51:18 am »
Good morning everyone, a topic that I still believe has not been covered on our forum is the issue of printers. Obviously, here too we have the usual problem that the various printer manufacturers do not produce Power drivers to manage their printers. How do you move in the Power community when it comes to connecting and managing a printer?

Hi, even if I registered at the site where the link takes me, I could not find these patches for the GPU you are talking about ... How should I download and install them if I wanted to do it for my AMD RX 5700 XT in case is compatible of course ... The browser already works very well, but if there is a way to further increase the performance and make better use of the graphics card it would be the best ...

Hi guys, I don't know if you have noticed but I think so now, after the latest Fedora updates, a nice bug has come out in the application that manages the software, the Fedora software market. It no longer displays the images of the applications and what is worse no longer lets you manage them, by selecting updates or installed, the wait turns endlessly ... Has someone managed to report this anomaly by chance already?

The Xorg.conf file is very precise and as soon as you make a mistake, it doesn't work and it no longer loads the GUI until you delete it and report the situation as it was originally. I also had a bit of trouble putting the right syntax, then luckily the MPC user gave me a tip and I did it ... The examples that are reported on Wiki in general are on AMD GPUs, if not answers no one tries to ask Raptor support directly, only they can give you a hand in this sense. Unfortunately, Nvidia GPUs have proprietary drivers and are used very little by the Power community, we use almost all AMD so it is not easy to find information on using NVdia on Power ... Raptor runs the 2070 on Power, see if they know something about the your card ...

Guys I finally decided to reinstall everything and do manual partitioning. At the beginning above all, the lack of total experience on Linux made me lean towards the automatic installation wizard but as we have seen well, on the Directory "/" it only takes 16GB which are not enough! In the manual installation I decided to put 110 GB on 232 available on the SSD unit that I mounted. Another 115 on Home and the rest on Swap. The break is obviously that I have to reinstall everything now, but nevertheless ... I had tried with the LVM management, I had found a guide to increase the capacity of "/" but although it told me that the partition increased, when I then did the check, I always gave the same 16GB ... I did not understand why ... In any case I preferred to do so ... Thanks always for your valuable advice!

yes sdb2 is the largest partition where there are 9.5 GB of data between apps and more ... now I'm trying a procedure that should extend the root, it tells me that the operation was successful but when I check the root it is always 15 GB it's absurd I don't understand ... I had put 50 GB first and then another 30 ... nothing is wrong I can't understand ...

currently the situation is this, as you can see I have 99% full root and therefore I have to increase a lot, while I have to resize / Dev / sdb2 which has 367 GB and uses only 9.5 ... how do I therefore remove from Dev / sdb2 and add in root ?

the disk utility is located exactly where it is on Ubuntu and therefore Debian. The problem is that I currently have the largest partition that I should resize to make room for the file system but it does not allow me to resize I don't understand why ... The partition is 249 GB and I would have the possibility of reduce it but it won't make me do it ... Why?   >:(

yes of course there are few, I would like to expand the partition, if I have not understood correctly I must first disassemble, then I should be able to modify and then finished resizing it will have to be reassembled I think ... am I right?

now that I see everything I don't think I can recover much space in the end, I need to increase the partition as you say, I just don't know how to do it. Trying from the disk management and doing partition redesign, I tried to set up a larger amount of space but it doesn't make me do it, can you tell me how to proceed without doing damage? Thank you
