Hi TLE, I also reported the same problem to the Fedora team. Kernel 5.7.X still does not work with AMD Navi GPUs. We have arrived at version 5.7.15 if I remember correctly, or 5.7.14, but the Kernel still does not boot under Navi. I have the Navi 10 Radeon 5700 XT. They haven't answered me yet, I don't know if any of you have received an answer regarding the problem that has persisted for months now on this Kernel ...

Yes, in fact, excellent to have the Raspberry Pie but if they did the port for Power it would be a great way to greatly increase the number of games present and generally enrich the software park ... I hope that someone who knows how to do it, will consider the idea...

In fact, good MPC, you have the raspberry Pie directly, but as you have surely seen, it is all based on Linux so someone could think about it a few days and bring it to Power at this point. That would be great because we would have a lot of games on Power in one go ...

In fact I think the sources are available and just bring them to Power, we could have the retro Pie too.  There are a lot of games from the past and even emulations of devices like Naomi by Sega and others, used for the arcades of the time.  There is a sd that has 250 GB of games, to use for the back Pie ... I think it's really interesting ...

Hi Flying, then I can post a link where he explains how to install this retropie on Linux and I can also tell you that the procedure also works on Power except starting the script because obviously there is no support for our processor...

For example, this is the procedure to follow and with a Power system you can perform both the installation of dependencies with the second command and go on in the procedure until the last command where it tells you to start the script but in that case obviously you can't because it gives you unsupported architecture error. It would be nice if they did this retopie for us too because there are a lot of old games between console and arcade, all well emulated. With our hardware then we could make them run perfectly.

Open Power guys, apparently it seems that we will have to focus only on Axon, since it is now clear that for Power 10 there will still be a long wait for us. Apparently IBM will not provide open source until I get out of what I understand and so that's why Raptor can't currently do anything based on Power 10. These days we read many articles about Power 10, it has now been made official and therefore the articles flock. There are several interesting ideas, however, I read for example that despite being a Samsung production and unfortunately a Korean one, IBM also this time put its own in the production process and therefore it will be a specific process for these Power 10 and it is not the usual process used by Samsung. They even write that in comparison, the one currently used by Samsung for its Exsinos is a toy. They also say that what IBM boasts in Power's technology, nobody can, frightening technology that only they can have. All this is obviously nice to hear because every time a new Power comes out, it is given as a big jolt to the whole microprocessor sector and this is very pleased considering how it is seen by the ignorant convinced X86 supporters ...! So it is clear that since it still takes time in any case, it will be Power 9 Axon that I think we will have to focus on for the near future and as a possible update. We hope to know more by the end of the year, they said that was

Hello everyone Open Power community, in these days I came across the RaspBerry Pie world by chance and I got some research on how it works. I saw that being based on Linux, the whole emulator system and the whole retro pie application, can be easily installed even on X86 based computers, (the original Raspberry version is on ARM). I wonder now, there is no version of Power for us today, right? As usual, it takes someone who takes the code and brings it to our system ... Do you have any more news?

I currently have a 4K display and can use that resolution on my Power system. Also if I run the command to check 3D acceleration enabled, it tells me that it is enabled on my board. I use an AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT to get all of this.

It would be interesting if they could be used to make the RTX series for example from Nvdia work properly. In September, the new RTXs with AMPERE architecture will be released that promise to be really powerful, the problem is that we need someone who knows how to bring that code you are talking about, on Power ... Unfortunately Nvidia insists on not wanting to create an open source version of its drivers and this angered even the Linux creator ...!

We miss you all at the face to face conferences; those were excellent venues for more niche product lines like ours and we have yet to find a viable substitute.  Here's hoping 2021 will bring back the more decentralized physical events (i.e. supplant the Google/Amazon/Microsoft/Intel/AMD-dominated online events) and we'll get you see you in person with some of the technologies we're working on for 2021 / 2022!

I always hope to know more about Axon AIO, especially now that Power 10 is still far away ...! I hope you will soon give us some news of what these new Power 9s will look like and if we can use them to upgrade, obviously accompanied by the new RAM that AXON AIO requires ... We always stay connected ... :-)

Unfortunately up to version 5.7.9, the kernel does not work having mounted the Radeon 5700 Navi 10, I hope that at least with 5.8 they solve this situation ...

I too would like to understand, how Axon AIO will be implemented, because it is known that at the end of the year he will come out and not Power 10. I would like to understand if being always of the Power 9 line, we will be able to do the direct upgrade without a new motherboard, or else it will be anyway a new motherboard with a new Soc. From what I understood in the few articles published on Axon AIO, IBM wants to update all its servers with this processor and therefore inevitably it must have the same soc and consequently we should also be able to benefit . I know that only RAM needs to be changed because Axon AIO needs a different type of memory than the current one ... Can you tell us something more specific about this? Thank you

Hi Borley, I confirm that Raptor cards are built entirely in the United States of America, I believe that to date they are the only ones that can boast the construction of a motherboard for desktop computers, specifically in the West and America. Power 9 pure is produced in the United States but in New York, a Global Foundries factory that was owned by IBM micro elettronics and which left IBM's proprietary 14 nM production process as a dowry. One of the things I like most about our Power systems is this one, motherboard and processor, all made in the USA, against the rest of the world that is made in China and Taiwan ...! In fact, Raptor is proud of this and I agree with them perfectly!
