Title: Raptor CS fediverse presence?
Post by: Borley on June 14, 2022, 03:43:35 pm
I occasionally check the RCS twitter activity through some Nitter front end. But, as somebody who will never use centralized Twitter, I find myself wishing there was a way to participate. Is there any room at the table for a Mastodon network account?

FWIW Raptor Engineering has a/an low-volume/abandoned GNU social presence: https://social.raptorengineering.io/

Mastodon seems to be under more heavy development compared to GNU social, so using that instead would probably be a good idea if you want constant new features and bug fixes. At least if you don't care that the maintenance of Mastodon can be a PITA sometimes. Using a hosted instance is the 2nd best alternative. I've heard https://hostux.social/ is quite nice.

I'm in agreement. Either that or a Pleroma instance. Seriously, if there's any way I can help I will try.

I definitely agree that Raptor should have at least a bridge account on ActivityPub, even if it won't be checked for replies. Checking up on what Raptor is doing is the only reason I haven't closed my Twitter account outright in favor of just using AP.
