With so much pain I’ve experienced every single time I update the kernel, I just dread of having an AMD GPU card. If there is a decent 3D accelerated and fully built-in GPU, i would love to see Raptor adopt it

Intel is working hard to get DG2 GPU driver ready for Linux 5.18. From what I know so far Intel has confirmed the driver would also work for 64k pagesize kernel.
If the Intel team can deliver a better Linux driver, I surely would replace my AMD GPU with an DG2.

Classic ok but I don't know the exact procedure to replace this library you speak of.  How should one remove that one and put another better one?  And then which one to put?  How to install?  I don't know anything about it ...

Look in https://github.com/ebassi/graphene/pull/233, there is a comment from classic with attached link, download and extract that tgz then move the file to `/lib64/` folder. Problem solved

Great news. I wish there is one in Australia.

Maury, I keep telling you: replace the libgraphene library. I even pre-built one, just replace the older one.

It does improve the perf BUT it is still tad slower than GNOME 3.38

Applications and Porting / [GAME] Citra the Nintendo 3DS emulator
« on: February 23, 2022, 09:29:19 pm »
There are some issues with GCC12 compilation with teakra which is one of the component that citra depends on. I've managed to fix it upstream so once this PR https://github.com/citra-emu/citra/pull/5961 is merged, this emulator can be successfully compiled on Fedora 36

Rejoice foiks, Fedora 36 (rawhide as of today 17 Feb 2022) has re-enabled the ppc64le RPM build

ref: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/mame/c/ac389954f54811556b11548396329a86cc82dfae?branch=rawhide

That means Fedora 36 would have MAME out of the box

Yes, it has always been painful to get any of those tooling built. I highly recommend you install those tools from packages that your distro provides.

I am hoping the next revision of Blackbird would have built-in NVMe M2 slot so I could use the X8 slot for a SAS controller.

I reckon XFCE is the best fit for users who prefer CDE-style DE.

Lots of libs to be installed. And a bit play around with headers symlink, the CDE 2.4.0c can be compiled successfully from git source

CDE is pretty useless to today standard. However I really dig the retro look

The IBM System X3200 M3 workstation is 90% compatible with ATX motherboard.

I was fortunate to get one for $20 AUD. The modifications are:

* I/O plate trim down to fit the ATX I/O plate (it is not perfect, there is a small gap)
* USB front panel hub
* LEDs front panel
* PSU replacement
