I just installed AlmaLinux, using it now.
I selected the Workstation spin. It uses Gnome, and I really don't care for it anymore.

That is as far as I've got.....thus far.

I want to try out different distro's since I haven't used Linux enough to really form an opinion on Gnome or the others.

Did you use the network install ISO?
I'm having issue's with the other two ISO options, they give an error when the installer just starts, preventing going any farther.
I haven't connected my Talos II to the internet yet, but maybe that's what I need to do.

If it's at all similar to Fedora or RHEL, there should be other Workstation flavours to try.

Looks like the different flavors are options within the same install media (don't have their own ISO's). I got it working now.

I had two SAS drives plugged in which the installer doesn't seem to like if they're both plugged in, for some reason.
Maybe because the RAID or ESXI setup they had before?

I went through the install again today. Nope! Only Gnome is available, perhaps others will be available later.
It does work okay, but I'm not really a fan of Red Hat anymore even though it was the very first Linux I ever used back in the 90s (bought the boxed set on floppies).

If you look at my Avatar you'll know what was like getting it installed and working. 

I'll stay with Debian based distros, mostly due to being more familiar with it.
